This mural was designed and painted as the backdrop to the RedBull BC One breakdancing competition held at Rooftop Legends NYC in 2021. Big shout out to Jesse @rooftoplegendsny for having me involved with the project and @caseybquiet and @gorey for lending a hand slinging some paint! Shoutout to @chum_media for his artistic eye behind the lens.

Went through a lot of shit to get the opportunity to paint my “Brooklyn Mixtape” on Vanderbilt and Atlantic Ave in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The wall took 9 days to paint in a heat wave last summer. It wasn’t easy but it sure was worth it. The mural is my mix of some of my favorite characters, landmarks, and music references from Bk pop culture. Unfortunately the business has been sold and the wall is set for demolition any day now. They’re making room for another unwanted high rise. I’m happy that I was able to paint it and have it made into a video to remember the experience. I’ll never forget all of the different people that stopped by to show love and tell their story. It was an honor to be involved in this mural for the @museumofgraffiti with @ces4wish @yesizm and @charliedovesnyc The mural showcases the story of The Graffiti Experience and a writers journey with these Illegal Means Of Kreativity. The museum will be opening on Dec 5, 2019 in Wynwood Miami to educate the public on the history of graffiti.

In the summer of 2016, we tore through the United States at breakneck speed. From Chicago, to San Diego, and back again in just a few days, walls were sprayed, Lak cans were emptied, blackbooks were sketched in, and sleep was lost. With such a hectic schedule, there was no time for beers, no time for loosing passports, no time for dope Cuban sandwiches, no time for juice, no time for tamales, no time for disco beats, and certainly no time for fun. EWOK, KEMS, MAST, and VIZIE came along for the ride. POSE, TRAV, OMENS, PERSUE, BRISK, DEOW, and ZOUEH joined us at points along the way as we bounced like a pinball through Chicago, Los Angeles, Westminster, and San Diego (plus a little ‘accidental’ side step into Tijuana). After blazing our way from Chicago to Los Angeles, San Diego and our little charade in Tijuana we bounced back for round seven (or whatever round it was by this point). Hitting New York, Philadelphia, and New Jersey in a matter of days. Again – MAST, EWOK, and JURNE came along for the trip and we linked up with ENUE, CURVE, HOACS, ROACH and ESTEME at different points along the way. Til next time. Stop having fun.
